
Legacy
The Savannah River basin is home to several superfund sites that include toxins like mercury, arsenic, and PCBs that continue to threaten our waters. In addition, the textile industry has left significant pollution in the sediments in the bottom of our lakes and ponds particularly in the middle of the basin.

Litigation
While the Riverkeeper prefers serious bilateral negotiations to resolve its differences with its adversaries, we have little patience with stalling tactics and will invoke the system of jurisprudence as we deem necessary.
