Welcome to the 3rd Annual Paddlefest

On Saturday August 29, 2009, Savannah Riverkeeper will host the 3rd Annual Paddlefest - which includes a kayak/canoe race sanctioned by the Georgia Flatwater Canoe and Kayak Association and a home-made raft competition.

Details

Pre-registration fee: $35/person
Day of Registration fee: $40/person

Registration: Canoe/Kayak - 7 am @ Savannah River Rapids Pavilion

Registration: Raft - 7 am @ Hammonds Ferry Boat Ramp (North Augusta)

The canoe and kayak race will include the standard entries C1 and K1, male and female, C2 and K2, male, female and mixed.  The race will be approximately six miles, the first half shoals and the remainder deep flatwater. 

Post - Race Ceremony

The event will be followed up by lunch, awards ceremony, live entertainment and much more. Families are encouraged to join us as well. If you aren't interested in racing at the event, come out for the post party. New for this year's Paddlefest - An entire Exhibition Room which will include a Children's Art Exhibit, a live band, food vendors and more!
