Welcome to the 4th Annual Paddlefest

Plans for this year's race are heating up and we are all excited, so start your preparations for your raft early. Or if you plan on being in the canoe/kayak race, rent your boat before they are all gone! And a brand new category for this year's race we are proud to announce the addition of the stand-up paddle board category. We will also have guided tours for the kayakers and canoers - if you're interested contact us. We are also very excited to announce that this year's Paddlefest will be sanctioned by USA Canoe and Kayak. Check out some pictures and the results of the 2009 Paddlefest below.

Registration

Pre-registration fee: $35/person
Day of Registration fee: $45/person

Registration: Canoe/Kayak - 7 am @ Savannah River Rapids Pavilion

*Canoes and Kayaks can be rented, call Larry at Broadway Bait & Tackle at (706) 738-8848.

The canoe and kayak race will have 2 Racing Classes this year - Open Class (for serious racers) and Recreation Class each having the standard entries C1 and K1, male and female, C2 and K2, male, female and mixed.  Race-quality boats are not be allowed to compete in the Recreation Class - click for detailed requirements and specs for each class. The race will be approximately six miles, the first half shoals and the remainder deep flatwater.

Post - Race Ceremony

The event will be followed up by lunch, awards ceremony, and more. Families are encouraged to join us as well. If you aren't interested in racing at the event, come out for the post party!
